Update on Mark...

Things have been crazy around here and I haven't had a second to update you on Mark for all that been inquiring and have emailed me. SORRY! He has finished 4 rounds of the chemo and started one treatment of the BCG (immunotherapy) already. He started having some back pain again a few weeks ago. Which he had before each time finding the cancer. So when he went in last week for his second BCG treatment .. he asked the doc if they could do a scope instead to make sure the cancer wasn't back. His doc agreed and did the scope. There were NO tumors back.. HURRAH!! They did do a biopsy because the back side was very red and inflammed. His doc really believes it was just a reaction from the treatments...chemo etc. So that was really good news. Hopefully that means the chemo did its job. His doc also informed us that these BCG treamtments they are doing for 6 weeks can make Mark extremely sick. With mild to extreme flu like symptoms. I guess everyone reacts differently and it can take a few treamtments to start feeling the effects. So keep your fingers crossed he does well with the BCG like the chemo! I will keep you posted!
